Although we swing from slightly different branches of the yoga tree, and come to our mats with different gifts, we meet in the middle with a deep joy in sharing the yoga and a laughter-infused reverence for its teachings.

Twenty years of yoga practice have helped Selena navigate the intricacies of being human from a more balanced, open, and joyous place. Though she most delights in gooey, joyous, laughter-infused vinyasa, Selena has also studied Ashtanga, Iyengar, Forrest, and Restorative yoga, along with Ayurveda and breathwork. Her vinyasa classes integrate these methods into an informative, exploratory, and FUN yoga experience designed to meet her students where they are, leaving them feeling nourished and empowered. As an agent of joy, optimism and reverence for life, Selena strives to act with love in every situation (these situations often involve cookie dough, handstands, and her three almost-grown children). She views providing travelers to the Catskills region with movement and mindfulness experiences as a glorious adventure. Her enthusiasm for yoga practice, movement, flavor, exploration of consciousness, and the magic of being alive permeates her teaching.

As a former dancer, Laura has always been kinesthetic, but yoga is what made her finally feel at home in all her messy physical, emotional and spiritual human-ness. A devoted Ashtangi since 2000, she is steeped in tradition from her extensive yogic studies both in India and the United States, and infuses her teaching with the perfect blend of reverence and rebellion. Laura teaches both the Ashtanga method and Ashtanga-influenced vinyasa in workshops, classes, and private lessons in the Catskills, Hudson Valley, and New York City, but also delights in sharing traditional chanting and kirtan, breathwork and more. In addition to yoga practices of all kinds, Laura most loves dealing healthily hedonistic indulgences for every palate and any dietary requirement.
